Helping hurting people deal with grief from death, divorce, job loss, health diagnosis, and other losses that cause grief.
Please join us Saturday, July 20, from 8 – noon as Alhesha Whitmire tells how her journey into deep grief began suddenly after her husband collapsed and died of a heart attack while on a family vacation. In working through her own grief of the death of her husband, as well as the losses in her childhood, she began to recognize others on the lonely path of grief and then began the journey to help others who were grieving.
She is a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, Certified Grief Educator, and American Association of Christian Counselors Master Coach – Grief and Loss Specialization. She is a licensed minister and chaplain and currently working on a Master’s Degree.
As much as we would like to avoid it, loss is a part of life and grief is a normal reaction to loss. Grief and Loss Education is about learning to deal with the pain of life’s losses -death, divorce/broken marriage, disappointments, medical diagnosis, failed career, and more- and no longer be restrained by them.
Breakfast will be served.
